CIPHER SKIN INDUSTRIAL MONITORING TEXTILE

Cipher Skin Industrial is a monitoring product that is adhered to or wrapped around critical infrastructure such as pipelines, pressure vessels or load bearing structures. It is designed to monitor key attributes of the objects to which it is applied.

The product is comprised of three layers: a flexible backing that is adhered to the infrastructure to be measured, the printed Cipher Mesh layer, and a protective sheath to prevent degradation or damage.

The Cipher Mesh layer moves as the monitored object moves, detecting shear and strain and creating a four-dimensional data profile of its movement in space and over time. Cipher Mesh powers and transmits data from sensors like temperature, moisture, vibration and light to create a continuously updated, comprehensive picture of what external and internal forces are doing to your critical infrastructure.

Multi-Layer Wrap Construction
Cipher Skin has three layers: a flexible backing that is adhered to the outer wall of the pipeline, the printed Cipher Mesh layer, and a protective sheath to prevent degradation or damage.

Multiple, Simultaneous Measurements and Real-Time Alerting
Cipher Mesh and its embedded sensors measure changes to the outer wall of the pipeline and its contents and transmit the data securely to the cloud, where alerts are configured and connected to the user’s operations centers. The Cipher Mesh both supplies power and transmits sensor data. Multiple Cipher Skin panels can be daisy chained together with a single power and a single communications connection.
